About the Ragdoll

The Ragdoll cat is a semi-longhaired colourpoint cat of considerable size. They have a sweet-natured, non-aggressive, docile disposition. Full colour development is not achieved until the Ragdoll reaches around 2 years of age and indeed full weight and size is not achieved until the cat is fully mature at around 3 years of age.

One of the truly unique characteristics of the Ragdoll is their ability to "go limp" when being fussed (and therefore relaxed) ~ this explains the naming of the breed.

Another endearing characteristic is their ability to retrieve, we find a piece of screwed up kitchen foil is ideal for this, and Muffin, our gorgeous Seal Point girl, is our expert at this game and will happily bring the foil ball back time and time again much to our delight !!

Ragdolls are wonderful family cats ~ blending easily into the family environment and seem to have a natural rapport with children and other furry family members.

Ragdolls love to play and it is essential, as they are strictly indoor cats, that you provide them with plenty of stimulating toys including a scratching post or play gym to encourage play and exercise.

The Ragdoll is an exceptional breed, one that I'm sure you will fall in love with ..... easy on the eye ..... and easy to live with, in fact they have the Purrrrfect feline personality all rolled into one gorgeous package ..... called the Ragdoll.
